I stayed at the JW Marriott Essex Firm New York for ane night during a trip to New York in September 2021. This stay was part of a Midtown hotel-hopping circuit, and I moved to the St. Regis and Park Hyatt on the following nights.

The living area of the suite is separated from the bedroom, and features a velvet night blue sectional and ii fly chairs with leather accents, centred around a flat-screen TV.
Located directly behind the sectional is a leather framed desk with brass-coloured steel legs and glass finishing over the superlative. The desk features built-in outlets for charging your devices, which I greatly appreciated.
A separate hallway leads from the living room to the bedroom, with the bathroom in the middle to the left.
The chamber was fitted with a comfortable king-sized bed with costly bedding, plus 2 side tables, an ottoman at the human foot of the bed, and a flat-screen Tv mounted on the wall opposite.
The master bath featured a modernistic porcelain sink with a black frame underneath, while the rest of the bath had more old-school marble flooring and tiling, maintaining some of the hotel'southward older remnants.
Additionally, the bathroom offered Aromatherapy bathroom products with robes and slippers.
No doubt, the outdoor terrace was the highlight of the suite. It was incredible to be high-up above the city in the centre of the activeness facing Billionaires' Row, and I loved spending a few moments out here during the daytime and night.
Overall, the interior furnishings of the hotel are slightly dated but still nice.
JW Marriott Essex House – Executive Lounge
The Executive Lounge is situated on the ground floor, and is open daily from 6am to 2pm. In that location's a mix of two- and iv-person dining tables, plus some high-top communal seating.
Breakfast was served buffet-fashion, and the quality was on par with virtually North American hotel breakfasts (which is to say that it wasn't the best).

Southgate sources local ingredients for breakfast, brunch, dejeuner, or dinner and typically serves American cuisine; still, due to the limitations of the pandemic, it was but serving drinks and bar snacks at the fourth dimension.

Even so, given the impressive suites and the heritage factor, I'd render in the future if the price and location were right for my needs – ideally to check out 1 of the rooms with a sweeping Central Park view.
